|Daniel's dad, Gerry, manages a security/safety team at the Indianapolis Speedway right on Gasoline Alley. He was
kind enough to give myself and some co-workers from ExactTarget a tour
of the garage area, Gasoline Alley, and Pit Road. Photos are below!

It's a Pagoda!
Danica Patrick passing through Gasoline Alley
Fun bungee towing mechanism tied to carts to drag out the race cars
Yes, that car is going at 200+ mph
Booooooring radio interviews...
Green flag means....go?
Gerry at the finish line!
Paul Tracy after qualifying, evidently he is a misunderstood driver
Danica Patrick trying to wait out the rain eventually gave up and got out of the car
ExactTarget is a sponsor of the Andretti Racing team which includes Danica Patrick
Evidently the car can go more than 200 miles per hour but needs to be dry at all times!
Maybe this is what happens if you don't try your car - Simona de Silvestro crashed and suffered burns to her hands, looks like the body of the car broke cleanly
Look at all those logos...
After the rain let up Danica was first in line, lots of concentration! This was her last chance to qualify for the race
Geez...tough to concentrate under a horde of photogs and onlookers
Uhhh....the wheel is removable...that's a bit unsettling....
Zooooom...she qualified in the 9th row
Powered by corn, ethanol at the Indy 500 Pit Road
One of the Andretti cars prepares to head out
Wow, a pass was needed to get into Pit Road but there certainly were a LOT of people!
I bet you could melt down the Borg-Warner trophy and sell it for quite a bit, probably more valuable in the current pretty state though
A great place to heat up your microwave dinner
Can't I just bounce a few tires down the track?
Superfan takes 500 Festival Princess' photos...what planet am I on?
They better have a full tank of gas in those cars, looks like the gas station is closed
Always nice to have a medivac helicopter (UI LifeLine) on hand
